Ken for Model Number DLG5988W Dryer turns on, drum rotates for a few seconds, then stops. Tested on air dry and get same result. There is an electrical burn odor. What can be the cause and how do I test part? Thank you!
Answer Ken, This issue sounds like the run winding on the motor may be bad. The unit will start via the start winding and after a few seconds the centrifugal switch switches to the run winding and keeps unit running.
