Manufacturer Part Number: 6501KW2001B

The Rotor Position Sensor is an OEM part for LG washing machines. This sensor monitors the speed and direction that the washing machine tub is spinning. It ensures the tub rotates properly in both clockwise and counterclockwise motions during cycles.

Causes of a bad rotor position sensor can include wear and tear from extended use agitating heavy loads, breakage from impact or moisture damage, or compromised wiring over time.

Symptoms of a bad rotor position sensor include:

  • Tub failing to spin or agitate clothes during cycles
  • Inability to detect spin cycle direction changes
  • Repeated errors messages related to tub operation
  • Long cycle times as the sensor cannot monitor load movement

This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Kenmore models.

Hello Vincent, Here is the explaination of the fault code UE: UE The washing machine has detected an imbalanced load This error code is more for information purposes than an actual a fault. What the machine is telling you is that it has been unable to sort the laundry load and correctly balance it without a risk of damage due to an unbalanced load. This error will clear when you restart the machine but you need to sort the laundry or increase the load as required and for more information on load imbalances. If one item is more moisture absorbant than any other item in the load, the unit cannot balance it. On non-display panel models this fault code is denoted by the lights for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 being lit or flashing. •Reload the washing machine and attempt to spin it again. •Check the installation of the washing machine for level and balanced. •Check for small loads because small loads will cause an imbalance error.
