Jan L for Model Number wm2016cw my washer began to smell like something was burning after a wash cycle. then when done the drum filled with smoke. on the next load i got error code LE. does it need a new motor sensor?
Answer Hello Jan, The LE indicates a locked motor error. Things you want to check for is the connector 3 pin maile white in the motor harness making sure it is plugged into the female white of the stator assembly. Check the electrical contacts between the connectors 3 pin male white in the motor harness and the 4 pin female white connector in the Main PWB assembly is bad or unstable. The motor harness between stator assembly and main PWb assembly is cut or has open circuit. Last could be the hall sensor is out of order or defective. Read More...
