Jonathan F for Model Number LG WM2240C I purchased this washing machine a bit over two years ago. I am receiving error code "LE". I have tried unplugging it and rebooting; rotating the drum four turns slowly by hand 4 times in both directions; draining it and cleaning the filter. Nothing has worked. Online advice seems to suggest the hall sensor. If you have any thoughts, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
Answer Jonathan, The LE error code is representative of a Locked motor error. In most cases it is the rotor position sensor that causes the LE error code but if you check the following it will narrow it down. • The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS is not connected to the connector (3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY. • The electric contact between the connectors (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable. • The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (opencircuited). • The hall sensor is out of order/defective.
