Pamela for Model Number WM2301HR My LG Front Load Washer worked absolutely fine one day and the next it started making the loud noise when trying to to turn CW. It would turn CCW with no issues. Later in the night we had a power surge where our power went out only for a few minutes and then came back on. I assumed everything was fine but the following morning my washer would not power on. The noise filter and main board have been replaced and now we are back to the loud noise when trying to turn CW or CCW. I can turn the tub by hand either way very easily. I've been reading the notes and I am thoroughly confused and sickened at the thought of having to buy a new washer. I've loved this washer from day one and I want out of this nightmare. I've spent $444 up to this point on parts and repairs. Do I continue to try repairing or simply buy a new one?
Answer Pamela, For this issue it would be suggested to check between the inner and outer tub to make sure that there is nothing caught between the inner and outer tub. If this checks ok then it would most likely be the bearings that are possibly starting to go bad. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 7, 2017
