Mary for Model Number LFX25971ST The refrigerator is freezing all my food in the bins and on the shelf above the bins. I have raised the temperature to the highest setting and it never gets above 22 degrees. The freezer is set at +4 and hovers around -4. Please help with how to fix the problem or does a repair man need to be called? Thank you.
Answer Hello Mary. It sounds like the damper is bad. If so, the part needed, MCZ54121501 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. You can test the sensor and see if it is good. Also, check the damper door and see if it is broken and is not closing. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
