Dan S. for Model Number LRFD22850SW The two door lights in the upper part of the refrigerator do not turn off when the doors close and have melted the protective plastic cover. What is the correct part number to order for this model and do I need to order 1 or 2 since there are two switches or does the needed part control both?
Answer Hello Dan, The manufacturer has a service bulletin on this model and the lights have been changed to the 40W version 6912JB2004M. The light sockets have also been replaced with EAG62831801 which has a thermostat to turn the lights off when a predetermined temperature has been reached. All damaged parts from the heat of the original lighting configuration should be replaced and both light switches 6600JB1010A and 6600JB3007L should be replaced to prevent any chance of recurrence.
