Dana for Model Number WT5070CW I have an LG WT5070CW top load clothes washer and over the last few months the unit seems to be much for sensitive to being out of balance, as in too sensitive causing the unit at times to keep trying to rebalance wash loads wasting many liters of water and overextending wash cycles. I have also noticed when I try to complete the required cleaning cycle for cleaning the unit itself in spite of having selected the washing machine cleaning mode the unit still will not finish the cleaning cycle as it reports an error of being out of balance ( of course there are not clothes in the unit, it's in cleaning mode ). Any idea what is going on? The units cabinet seems balanced, it is sitting on a good quality poured concrete slab/floor. Are these units THAT sensitive to being exactly leveled? Sometimes, it works perfectly with no issues (even when I think there will be a problem) and other times I will have to adjust the load of laundry several times to get the machine to finish the spin cycle. In the "old days" you could just push the cycle ahead or deal with a little extra noise but not with these modern computer controlled machines.
Answer Dana, The first thing to check would be the suspension rods to make sure that they are good. If they check ok then check the rotor and stator for cracks or damage. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 23, 2018
