Ed for Model Number WM0642HW Washer powers on, but before it even starts the cycle it makes two knock noises on door switch, and gives a dE code. Is it the door switch, that needs replacing ?
Answer Ed, Yes, The "DE" fail code indicates a door lock error. EBF49827801 The door switch assembly and wiring is a great place to start, and is the most likely issue, as long as the door is aligned to the front panel and the latch hook on the door is not loose or broken.
