David October 17, 2021 for Model Number LG WM 2050 CW What causes the door lock switch to fail? I have taken it apart and found no broken springs or damaged contacts on the copper pins. I am looking for a true answer on the operation of the switch.
1 Answer Hello David, suggest you contact the manufacturer on your question as we are only an online appliance parts retailer, the latch assembly is part EBF49827801. Read More...
Witaya September 05, 2021 for Model Number MODEL:MW3370HWA I've got LG washing machine but sill com up (LE ERROR)i don't know which one wrong please help thank you.
1 Answer Witaya, The LE error code will have to do with the motor not running. It would be best to get the tech sheet from inside the unit and do the testing on the tech sheet for the LE error. This could be an error with the RPS sensor, the rotor, the stator or the wiring between the control board and the stator and rps sensor. Read More...
Elliott August 17, 2020 for Model Number WM2601HR Washer will not turn on at all, I tried resetting by disconnecting and pressing the power button for 5 sec and then the start button for 5 sec but still nothing. I get no spark when I plug in the cord in the outlet. I checked the power outlet with a different appliance to make sure there is power and there is. Any help diagnosing the problem will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
1 Answer Elliott, it would be recommended that the noise filter board 6201EC1006T is tested for incoming and outgoing 120VAC. If the noise filter has 120 coming in from the power cord but does not have 120VAC going out to the main control EBR44289827 (unfortunately, the main control has been discontinued), the noise filter would need to be replaced. Dave May 06, 2020 for Model Number 79640272900 Our Kenmore (LG) washer (79640272900) way overloaded. It stopped at some point during that overloaded cycle and now there are no lights and I cannot turn the washer on. I have verified that the outlet has good power. After much Googling, I've tried that "unplug it, press the power button for 5 seconds, then press the start button for 5 seconds and plug it back in" bit, but that did nothing. I have seen many sites indicate the no power issue is usually caused by a bad Door Lock Switch Assembly. Some others say it is usually the Noise Filter Assembly. I know you there at APP have both of those parts, but I wanted to ask which you thought I should try first. I have not opened the washer up and measured voltages yet, I am actually hoping it is the door lock. Any thoughts are appreciated and thank you for your time. Stay Safe! - Dave
1 Answer Dave, it is recommended that the main control is tested for 120VAC at the connection YL2 from the red wire to the blue wire (there should be a red LED illuminated if there is 120VAC). If there is 120VAC, the next step would be to test at the connections NA4 pin 3 red wire (black meter probe) to pin 4 orange wire (red meter probe) for 12VDC after pushing the power on button. From there, the red meter probe will be moved to pin 5 yellow wire and there should be a 5VDC reading. If the voltages measure accurately, the display control has failed. If there is not voltage, the main control has failed or there is a break in the wires (wires can be tested for continuity). If there was not 120VAC going to the main control, the next step would be to test the noise filter for incoming and outgoing 120VAC. If there is incoming voltage but not outgoing, the noise filter 6201EC1006T has failed. Unfortunately, if the display EBR62280701, or main control EBR62545101 have failed, they have been discontinued by the manufacturer and are no longer available. Read More...
Spk April 10, 2020 for Model Number LG model WM3987HW Hello, I have an LG model WM3987HW, which is a combination washer/dryer in one unit. It will not turn on (nothing lights up when you turn the power on). After searching online videos I found 3 possible fixes: 1) a new door lock switch 2) a new control panel 3) a new circuit board How do I know which one is the right fix? Thank you
1 Answer SPK, it would be recommended that the noise filter 6201EC1006T is tested for an incoming and outgoing 120VAC. If there is incoming but not outgoing 120VAC, then the noise filter has failed. If there is not 120VAC incoming, then the outlet would need to be tested. If there is 120VAC incoming and outgoing, the main control EBR38163341 should have an LED illuminated in the center. If it is not illuminated, the main control has failed. If it is illuminated, the wiring to the display control 6871ER2019H will need to be inspected for any loose connections or broken wires. If there is a broken wire, the display control would need to be replaced. If there is not a broken wire or loose connection, then the most likely cause would be the main control. Read More...
Nancy March 21, 2020 for Model Number troublegirl23@yahoo.com I've got an LG front loader wash machine that will lock the door when I hit start and then it will unlock the door and have error code de come up but if I start the washer and push on the bottom of the door will latch and start but I'm missing door plunger spring and the tub seal is rip could this make it think that the door is open I don't want to spend money on parts I don't or can't afford to fix and it doesn't. Please help me
1 Answer Nancy, If the door is being pushed out causing it to not make good contact then yes it could cause the unit to give the DE error code. Read More...
1 Answer Ricardo, with the top panel removed, there will be a lever on the side of the latch that will need to be pulled to the side. Read More...
Jane February 08, 2020 for Model Number WM2455HG After running a load of clothes, the door would not open/unlock. I unplugged the washer a few times in hopes it would reset, but it still will not unlock. I ran another cycle with same clothes to see if that would trigger release, but it didn't. How can I replace with above part if door will not open to install new assembly? Thank you.
1 Answer Jane, the top of the washer will have two screws that will need to be removed. Once they are removed, the lid can be pushed back and off. This will allow for the release tab on the door lock to be accessed. The release tab will allow for the door lock to unlock. Read More...
Jeff W January 21, 2020 for Model Number 796.4117221 I see that the manufacturer has replaced part number EBF49827801 with part number 6601ER1004C. Does it matter which one I use?
1 Answer Jeff, No, it doesn't matter. They are the same as far as the manufacturer is concerned. Read More...
Jeff January 19, 2020 for Model Number Kenmore 796.4117 (really an LG) Hi - about 25% of the time we start a load, we initially get the dE code, pressing pause twice often clears it, if not opening/closing the washer works. Nothing looks bent and the loads are small. This used to happen less often, so I'm wondering if I should be proactive and replace the door switch or wait until it gets worse? (I'd hate for it to fail on the first load on laundry day...) Thanks!
1 Answer Jeff, it would be recommended that the door switch is inspected for any parts that may be obstructed or if there is anything pressing against the door when this error occurs. If not, then the door lock assembly EBF49827801 more than likely has either a weakened sensing switch or weakening lock coils. Read More...
