Peter for Model Number dlg3788w Hello I have an lg dryer that recently just didn't heat up anymore, so I try to fix it. First I thought it would of been my igniter that was broken. It turn out its fine. Next I replaced the high limit thermo, and also the regular themo too. The inside is clean up from dust and lint. Now this is the problem that I can't seem to solve. My dryer would start up and dry 1 full load of clothing. Shortly after I would load a second load of clothes. But this time it start n turn like usual, but without heat this time. I have to take apart and press the reset button on one of the thermostat. What I can't figure out is why it keep repeating this over n over. After one load it stop heating until I reset the thermo, then it works 1 load then stop. Please let me know what part is causing this drama, because I already replaced 3 things that still works.
Answer Peter, With the thermostat having to be reset after one load of laundry, the first thing that you will want to check would be the dryer venting that goes from the blower wheel to the outside of the home to ensure that there is no blockage. If the vent is restricted or blocked it will cause the thermal fuse to trip. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, September 19, 2014
