Johnny V. for Model Number MCO153S When a cook operation is started, the oven emits a deep groan and, within about 1-2 seconds, the line fuse blows and the oven goes dead. Discharge the capacitor and install new fuse and do the same. All other like lamp, extractor vent and display works fine except for the cook operation.
Answer Hello Johnny, This unit has a short and the high amperage draw is blowing the fuse. Normally when the fuse blows after a short time, the issue is in the high voltage transformer or the magnetron. They should be tested for shorts to ground. If no problem is located, continue looking for a connection that is shorted to ground and be sure to test the door switches since they can cause an issue if one is welded in the closed position.
