Zain for Model Number Samsung Refrigerator Model RF28HMEDBSR The refrigerator and ice bucket is working fine. However, the dispensed ice has small shredded pieces of Styrofoam mixed in along with ice cubes. What could be the problem? Is there something can be done? Any suggestions/help would be appreciated. Answer Sain, the styrofoam would likely be from the insulation located just behind the ice maker. It would be recommended that the ice maker section is inspected for any ice accumulation on the bottom and inside of the insulated vent that could be occurring from an air leak. If there is ice built up, it would need to be cleared using a hair dryer set at room temperature air, followed by sealing the side seams of the ice maker section using a food grade sealant DA81-05595A and installing a y-clip assembly DA82-02367A.
