Sue for Model Number Fe-r300sx Every time I turn the oven on the broiler comes on and it gets extremely hot very fast. What is causing this?
Answer Sue, you may want to inspect the element and test it for any grounded out connection by disconnecting the power cord and testing for continuity to the oven chassis. If there is a grounded connection, it will need to be repaired. If the broil element DG47-00037A itself is grounded, then it would need to be changed out.
