Juliet O. for Model Number Rf267abrs Just got me ice maker. Brand new, not used. Just like the old one it's not ejecting ice. Both function properly when test button pushed. Water released to fill it to make cubes. Cubes freeze but when the arm goes to eject them, they are stuck. Why is this happening with the new DA97-05422A Ice Maker?
Answer Juliet, This could be an issue with the main control board. The icemaker has a heater on it that heats the ice temporarily and allows it to eject. If the heater is not coming on then this would cause the ice to stay in and it will continue to try to push it out. You will want to try checking on the main control board to make sure that there is 120 vac coming from the control board to the heater on the icemaker.
