Shelley Sommerfeld for Model Number RF4287HARS/XAA-0000 I ripped the freezer temperature sensor (located on the top of the freezer) off. The cover, the entire sensor (from sensor to plastic connection clip) and the other end of the clip with a portion of one red and one grey wire have come off. What are the grey and red wire? Do they go through the top of the freezer to the back wall (behind the back panel) where everything is plugged in? If so, what part do I need (the temperature sensor and cover are intact)? And once I remove the drawer, basket and back panel, how do I feed the grey & red wire part through to the roof of the freezer and out the hole for the sensor & cover, so I can connect them to the sensor?
Answer Shelley, Unfortunately the wiring inside the cabinet would not be available. The wiring in the cabinet cannot be replaced but if you are able to solder the wires back together this would be the only way to get it to work. Read More...
