Pat for Model Number RB215LASH My freezer was not going into defrost mode, and the repairman had manually defrosted the coils so it would cool while he got the parts in. He took so long I went ahead and ordered the two temperature sensors and changed them out myself. I changed out both temperature sensors, set the temperature to -2 and in the morning it was showing -8. I set it to +4 to see if it would stabilize but ever since the freezer temperature has been moving between -8 and +11 without changing the settings. I installed the sensors just like they were attached, the small one with the yellow cable with a tie wrap directly to the coil and the larger one laying vertical along the left side of the cooling coils. Do I have a faulty sensor or could the PCB be bad?
Answer Hello Pat. It is normal for the unit to go up and down. Also, as the unit defrost, or pulls down, it will go above and below. It sounds like it is fine. The temps are not above freezing. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 15, 2013
