Mr Engineer for Model Number RS2555SW

I have a Samsung refrigerator RS2555SW with a problem I believe is related to the Thermosensor. The freezer compartment was packed full of ice and the refrigerator was displaying 56 degrees F. The fan inside of the refrigerator is loud and when I open the door the fan comes to a stop. After a while the refrigerator would go back to 38 degrees F. Only for a while then would repeat the cycle. I researched your site and found how to test for the error codes and found segment G, on the right side corresponding to error code 7. Now on the schematic it shows pins 9 (BRN) and 13 (WHT) on the defrost plug as the Thermofuse for both sides, Freezer and Refrigerator respectively AND pin 7 (ORG) for ground. I took the back panel off and verified the compressor fan was working. Referencing the schematic diagram CN70 pins 9 and 13 share a common ground. In a parallel resistor circuit with an open would create an infinite resistance on R2. Am I on the right course? Also if you could point out where the circuit board is located at would be very useful. Thanks a bunch

Answer

Mr. Engineer, The control board on this unit would be located in the compressor compartment of the unit. If you pull the unit out and remove the lower panel on the right side is where the control will be located in a plastic box. You would want to test the thermofuse for continuity and if there is no continuity then it is faulty and would need replaced.
