Michael for Model Number RB195BSBB After losing power by unplugging or through breaker dip, the fridge will try to start cooling but immediately cuts off as the compressor and fan start. It tries this repeatedly win a clicking sound. Recently, the temps went haywire and it froze al the stuff in the fridge compartment. I think these are seaparate issues, one sounds like a fuse clicking internally, the other seems related to control board or thermistor. Any tips?
Answer Michael, fuses, and thermistors don't usually make a clicking noise unless they "burn out" and fail. The clicking noise and poor cooling are most likely due to a faulty control board and /or a weak overload/relay on the compressor. You will need to access the back of the refrigerator, remove the lower compartment cover and isolate, determine where the clicking noise is from. Read More...
