David R. for Model Number Samsung Refrigerator Model: RB1855VQ The Samsung Refrigerator RB1855VQ is beeping; however the internal temperature is different from that indicated by LED front panel. The doors are closed and are sealing properly. I checked the wiring under the top hinge cover and it is fully connected. I checked the door seals for damage and they are clear and undamaged. Refrigerator LED panel indicator: 54 degrees F Refrigerator LED setting: 36 degrees F ---------------------------------------------- Here are the details using a Raytek MiniTemp to read the temperatures: Top shelf rear center (thermostat): 48 degrees F Center shelf: 35 degrees F Bottom shelf: 34 degrees F Bottom Left Drawer: 32 degrees F Bottom Right Drawer: 33 degrees F Freezer LED panel indicator: 0 degrees F Freezer LED setting: 0 degrees F ---------------------------------------- Top Freezer Drawer: -2 degrees F Center Freezer Drawer: -1 degrees F Bottom Freezer Drawer: -3 degrees F Note: The refrigerator light is off; however, it works for a while if the refrigerator power cord is unpluged and plugged back in. Could the problem be a bad Temperature Sensor (Part Number: AP4136048) in the refrigerator part of the unit? (Center rear top shelf) If so, how do you change it? Is it accessible from inside or in the back of the refrigerator?
Answer Hi David. The usual part that will allow the "beeping" is a temperature sensor part # DA47-00095E. These will keep the temperature parameters to keep close tolerance as the control board will allow the damper to open and close and also run the compressor as well. If you can tell me the sequence of the beeping or if any of the digits have an out-line in the surrounding digits shown, we can pinpoint the error code it is giving. Thank You. Read More...
