Tim for Model Number ME21F707MJT microwave would power up for a few seconds and then power down. if I ran it several times like this, i.e., for 10 sec three or four times in a row, it would not run again for quite a while afterwards. I ordered thermostat PN AP4220155 and replaced the old one. The microwave worked perfectly for 3 days and now has the exact same symptoms. What might be causing the thermostat to become damaged? thanks!
Answer Tim, the main control would need to be tested for 120VAC at the black wire found on connection CN101. If there is voltage at the time of failure, the main control would need to be replaced. If there is not voltage, the fan operation would need to be inspected to ensure there is proper air flow to cool the control as improper air flow can cause excess heat to trip the thermostats.
