Monica for Model Number RBD275PDQ8 My self cleaning Whirlpool double wall oven is displaying various error codes including F2 and F3. The upper oven, which I use most often is no longer reliable. I'll get it heated, start cooking my food and then the whole think will just shut off, including the clock. So I have resorted to using the lower oven and now the same thing happens; with no warning, I get three or four beeps, and all power is off. I understand that it could be the sensor, and the control panel? Which part should I replace first? Or shall I have an electrician check the circuit? The oven is 14 years old. Thanks for your help!
Answer Monica, The first thing that needs to be checked would be the oven sensors for 1090 ohms of resistance. If the sensors are not in range then the sensor are faulty and would need to be replaced. For the F2 error code it would be an issue of a stuck keypad on the unit. You will want to Check the keypad connector for a firm connection, press cancel and if the error code returns after 60 seconds then replace the keypad, otherwise replace the control board.
