Nancygn February 24, 2020 for Model Number GS470LEMB2 I am getting code EO -F3- and the oven and timer both shut off mid way through cooking. F3 is "replace oven temperature sensor", what is the part number and is this something that is fairly simple that my husband can replace?
1 Answer Nancygn, the oven temperature sensor is part number WPW10181986. The sensor can be tested for resistance to ensure if it has failed. The error indicates an open sensor, and if the sensor tests for 1080O at room temperature, then the wiring would need to be inspected for any broken or bare wires. If the wire checks good, then the likely failure would be in the main control 4453608. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued the main control and it is no longer available. The replacement of the oven sensor is not difficult and the video found at the link https://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-sensor-rtd-sealed-wpw10181986-ap6016450.html#autoplay can be used as a reference for the repair. Jostein K June 22, 2018 for Model Number W0S51EC0AS03 Getting error code F3E0. Technician advised to get new circuit board. I installed new circuit board. Ran diagnostics. Same error code coming up. Please advise. Serial No. D54711375
1 Answer Jostein, This issue F3E0 error is a main sensor open or shorted to the upper oven. You will wan to test at the control board the wiring and sensor on the P10 connector between pin 3 and 4 for a resistance of between 1000 and 1200 ohms of resistance. If this checks ok then the oven control would be the issue. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Billy, This can be caused by a poor electrical connection, a bad temperature sensor WP8053344, a harness issue between the clock and the sensor, or a bad control 4389570. I'm sorry but this part 4389570 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Stephanie January 18, 2018 for Model Number KERC607HBS0 Went to turn oven on it won’t heat. Says lo and convention fan runs fine. Replaced thermal fix, thermal fuse, and convections element. Still won’t work. Not sure if I should try the oven tempt sensor or call it quites.
1 Answer Stephanie, You can test the oven sensor which should read 1090 ohms at room temp. If this checks ok then the issue will most likely be a control board that is faulty. Read More...
Catherine October 24, 2017 for Model Number WFG114SWQ1 Received F3 error code. Looked it up. All indicators pointed to oven temperature sensor. Bought new sensor and installed. Same error code. Clock, oven light and timer controls all work. Oven still won't come on. When choosing bake or broil and pushing start temp shows on display but then goes to F3. Ideas?
1 Answer Hello Catherine. Check the sensor wiring and if good, you will need to replace the control board on the unit. Thank you. Read More...
1 Answer Rick, With the oven not working you will want to check to see if the ignters are coming on. If they are coming on then test to see if there is 3.2 to 3.6 vac to the oven safety valve. If the voltage is correct then the valve is faulty and if not then the igniter would be the issue. Read More...
Dmc March 27, 2017 for Model Number whirlpool WCP86800 My oven died during self clean mode. I unplugged the oven then plugged it back in. The oven door is still locked and there is nothing on the control panel.
1 Answer Hello DMC. Test for power to the control board. If there is power there and the unit is dead, you will need to replace the board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Karen November 26, 2016 for Model Number RBD245PDQ8 Hi-- I have a Whirlpool double oven and the temperature for the upper oven is not showing up on the touch screen at all. The lower oven temperature does show up. I have noticed F2 on the touch pad and had figured there was a temporary power outage, but from reading the info on your website, I realize this is a fault. Can you help? Thanks so much! Karen
1 Answer Karen, F2 error code indicates a shorted key pad on the control panel WP8300428 and would need replacement. The non existent temperature display for the upper oven could have been due to a faulty oven sensor, but that should also cause an F3 error code in the upper oven(you didn't mention if the oven worked without the display), the presumption would be the LED display circuit in the oven control 8302967 for the upper oven has failed and the control board would need to be replaced. The control board has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. Read More...
