Jeff for Model Number SF114PXSW0 (Whirlpool_ I have received an error code F-2 when the oven is on (It's a Whirlpool standard gas oven). What is the error message and is there a part that needs to be replaced?
Answer Hello Jeff! Here is what we have located regarding the F2 failure on your model SF114PXSW0: Oven temperature is too high: 1. Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC), part number W10831525. 2. For SELF CLEAN models: check door lock operation. 3. Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective, part number WPW10181986. Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit, not actual oven temperature. Hope this helps! Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, October 25, 2011
