Greg for Model Number n9357x3 This is an old Roper range. Code F-3 came up on control board,so i checked continuity on thermal fuse #wb27x520 there was none,so i replaced.Everything worked fine for couple of days then code F-3 reappeared checked continuity again, there was none.Checked ohms of oven temperature sensor at end of harness at control board, reading was 1084 i believe this means sensor is o.k. Any ideas on what is causing this thermal fuse to burn out?
Answer Hello Greg. You need to check and see if the relay in the control is sticking and causing the element to stay on. If so, replace the control board WB19X265 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
