Charlie for Model Number Maytag MVWC400XW4 Washer is inoperative. When electrical power is supplied, the green LED on main control board illuminates, Lid Latch 'clicks' many times, and the red Lid Locked lamp flashes. Lid Latch did lock on one occasion (after removing electrical power from washer several times) and the red 'Locked Lamp' remained illuminated steady. Pressing the 'Start/Pause/Unlock' button has no effect. Am not able to access any of the self-test functions per the service manual found hidden between front case and tub. Tried reseating all connectors, this did not help. Cheers! C.
Answer Charlie, Based on the information it sounds like the issue would be with the latch assembly not engaging. You will want to check the lid latch to make sure that it is not being impeded by the lid being warped or the hinges being loose.
