Leslie, With the grinding noise that you are hearing it sounds like the hub may be faulty and would need to be replaced. For the issue with the door locking then unlocking you will want to make sure that the lid is not warped and causing the door lock to not catch. If this checks ok then the control board would be the most likely issue.
