Leslie for Model Number wtw5640xw2 Hi I have 2 yr. Old whirlpool cabrio he washer that the lid lock button flashes. When I turn it on the lid locks you hear it sensing and the lock flashes and unlocks. Eventually it fills with water no agitation. The water drains no spin and it is done. I've replaced the lid lock assembly but it didn't fix the problem. Is it the main control board or the actuator. I also hear a grinding noise when it agitates.
Answer Leslie, With the grinding noise that you are hearing it sounds like the hub may be faulty and would need to be replaced. For the issue with the door locking then unlocking you will want to make sure that the lid is not warped and causing the door lock to not catch.
