Jeremy for Model Number WTW5640XW0 I have an F7 E1 Error on my washer. The lid lock comes on, the motor tries to engage but doesn't and the timer counts down with the lid staying locked. I replaced the shift actuator and that didn't work.
Answer Hello Jeremy, This fault is displayed when the main control cannot determine the speed of the basket.. It indicates the possibility of a locked rotor, in which case you would check that the basket, impeller, and motor can rotate freely. Also check harness connections from main control to motor and shifter, (See TEST #3a: Drive System–Shifter, page 13 tech sheet). Read More...
