Kat for Model Number Wtw5640xw0 My parents whirlpool cabrio washing machine wtw5640xw0 is making this stupid awful noisy while washing a load of clothes. The whole time it's doing it's cycle. Not squealing or grinding, just like a repetitive noise like you can hear it agitating the clothes. It also slings blackish oily residue in the underside area. The little plastic cover that goes over the belt area is just covered with it plus a little on the floor. I've searched and found 50 different answers and I'm just trying to prevent them from having to spend a god awful amount of money on a washer that could be fixed. I'm not trying to be a replace the entire thing person if it could be fixed. We are very handy helpers and my significant other is quite the handy guy so if it's fixable he can do it. I just need to know what to buy before I buy parts I don't need or get the wrong parts in general. Any help would be above and beyond appreciated. Thanks!
