Steve for Model Number KUCC151lsso The ram will not stop and reverse at the bottom of the compacting cycle. It keeps running and makes a whining sound. I have replaced the top limit directional switch, the power nuts, the drive gears, ramp stops, and the motor. Also, the original actuator pedal has been replaced with the new actuator. Any idea on what to try next?
Answer Steve, it is possible that the start switch WP9871971 does not disengage the momentary start contacts when the unit is turned on. This can cause the unit to create the issue that you are experiencing. This can be tested by testing the contact with the yellow wire to the contact with the violet wire for continuity. When in the off and run state, there should not be continuity. The contacts should only read continuity when the switch is rotated to the start position. Read More...
