Maria for Model Number MDG6700AWW I have a front load gas dryer it is about 10 years old. model MDG6700AWW, serial number 10610049GN. If you open the door and look at the back of the dryer, the round felt seal has started to fall off. Apparently with this particular model you can not buy the felt seal separate. You have to buy the whold drum assembly and either replace the whold thing or take the felt out and replace it. The felt in the dryer now is not in bad shape just needs to be put back in. My questions is, would it be safe to use adhesive 279368 and put a bit around the seal and push the felt back in? One of the part places I called suggested this and said to make sure the adhesive is for high heat. I thought if you could advise me on this adhesive I would feel better using it. Thanks
Answer Maria, To reseal the felt seal is not a bad idea and the adhesive that you would want to use is W10841140 which is a high temp adhesive. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, February 19, 2016
