Keven for Model Number MAV7200AWW The hot water valve doesnt seem to close on a wash or rinse setting. I can verify just about any other wash or rinse setting combination works by manually turning off the hot or cold water supply indepedently. My first thought was the wash temp hot/cold switch stuck in the on position electronically (button physically out). Also when selecting "auto temp", the led isn't lit and flashes on as if its getting shorted while pushing or pulling out the wash knob. Is this maybe the temp control board or/and the inlet valve with/thermister ? Thanks.
Answer Hello Keven. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the water valve 12002158 is stuck open and needs to be replaced. You can test and see if there is power going to the hot valve when it sticks. If so, it is a control issue. If there is no power there, it is a bad water valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
