Aaron, This unit has an automatic temperature control board that is probably your issue. Part # is WP22003906. There is no video but I will send you the complete service manual for the unit and removal instructions is on pg. 4-3

Joseph, The most likely cause for the unit to shut down mid cycle and not do anything at all would be either there is no power getting to the unit (breaker or GFCI tripped) or a timer that has failed.

Kurt for Model Number MAV7757AWW

Hi, my washer would be on delicate mode & would not drain & rinse. Then i would turn the timer over to colors mode & it would continue to rinse & spin like it should. Now, when even in colors mode it wont drain & spin every time. I got it finally to drain & spin by turning the timer & resetting it. Whats going out in my washer? I also got a burnt rubber smell, so i replaced the belt & while i was there i noticed my pump doesn't spin very freely, so a new pump is on the way to me as well as a new timer, should i also be looking at a new control board? The washer is 11 yrs old, Thanks!

Kurt, It shouldn't be necessary to replace the control boardWP22003906 it controls the water temperature. The timer is a good possibility, but may not be the issue. A faulty drain pump is a very good possibility, and is the more likely issue. You also want to check the lid, lid switch cam W10814230 and plunger. The washer will fill and wash regardless of the lid switch position. But it wont spin and drain unless the switch circuit is closed. If the lid switch cam isn't activating the lid switch plunger, etc. then no spin/drain 12001908, Need to check that as well.

Hi, It started out with just the extra rinse the water would not drain out. I had to put it back on spin and then it would drain, but this was just if i used the extra rinse. The regular worked fine. Then just the other day it stopped completely and smelled like something electrical was burning. I could not get it to do anything. I had to empty it by shop vac. I took it all apart to see if i could see anything unusual, put it back together and it worked until the spin cycle, did not drain, but timer kept going until it reached off, so i put it back to spin and then it drained. the timer seems noisy also. So I'm not sure if I have a bad timer, bad motor, mother board or a combination

Hello Tim, This can be a temperature switch, the harness, or the control board on the back of the timer. The most common cause of this besides a bad water valve is the control board, since this unit utilizes an electronic control board WP22003906 to monitor the water temperature.

My new washer ( only s couple weeks old) was in water about 4 -6 inches deep for a couple hours after heavy rainstorm. Now it is not covered under warranty, but it does run but not properly.Repairman said junk it but hubby is working on it and it doesn't, always want to switch into the different cycles .Can do it manually, but who wants to stand there and wait? don't really want to ditch it after paying $1000 for the set. Could it be the control panel?

Hello Michael, This sounds like the overload on the motor is opening. This only happens if the motor overheats. Since it does this during agitation, the suspect is the motor winding is shorted. The timer could be sending voltage to the motor through two circuits at the same time but this will normally cause the motor to never start, just hum and click out on overload. To test this theory, run the unit until the unit stops and feel the motor. If it is hot, the issue is the motor. If the motor is cool, the timer may be the issue.

After a load I turned the timer to a cycle and it starts washing. After the cycle the machine stops because it finished the cycle. When I opened the lid the wash water is still there. It seems that it by passed the rinse and it didn't drain the water. Is this an indication of a bad timer or a bad circuit board. Please advise. I was told it may be both not intermiate?? Thank you.
