Michael B. for Model Number LNC6745A71 Hi, I have an Admiral model # LNC6745A71 SN#10727399MY. It will fill up wash and then it will not drain or spin or rinse. Then it will drain and spin and stop. Is this the timer or the board or both? My wife is going to kill me if I don't get this thing working. Please Help!
Answer Hello Michael, This sounds like the overload on the motor is opening. This only happens if the motor overheats. Since it does this during agitation, the suspect is the motor winding is shorted. The timer could be sending voltage to the motor through two circuits at the same time but this will normally cause the motor to never start, just hum and click out on overload. To test this theory, run the unit until the unit stops and feel the motor. If it is hot, the issue is the motor. If the motor is cool, the timer may be the issue. Read More...
