Jbo for Model Number Maytag MVWC6ESWW1 Washer fills correctly, but then will not agitate or advance to the spin cycle. If the timer is advanced manually, the washer will pump out water and spin dry then shut off. But will not advance to the extra rinse (when extra rinse is set ‘on’). There is no sound from the motor when in the wash cycle so it is not a problem with the agitator. Assume the problem is either the water level-temp sensor, the timer, or the control board connected to the timer. I am not handy with a multi-meter so I am stuck with the trial and error method of repair. Please provide your expert opinion on which part should be replaced. Thank You.
Answer Hi Jbo. Your model has a 2-part timer. There is a part that 'piggybacks' that is an electronic control, for your timer. This part # is WPW10104800. Your timer part # is WPW10243947.This controls the timer advancing. I hope this helps. Thank -you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, July 7, 2011
