Cj for Model Number WTW57ESVW1 & WTW57ESVH1 I have replaced the Auto-load -Water level/ temperature sensor P/N W10248240 3 times and it fails after 12-16 loads. The last time Whirlpool told me to replace the Flow Meter P/N W1017893 as well as this Auto-load switch. Guess what, The washer will not fill with water again after 5 days of 3-4 loads of wash . There is 122 volts going into the water sensing level switch and No power comuing out again. Is there an Alternative switch that is more robust? Why is this switch failing repeatedly? By the way, The Red WYW57ESVH1 washer that is 1 1/2 years older which is identical other than the color has never had a problem . I wonder what changed? Thanks, CJ
Answer Hi CJ. If the lid switch is opened without first shutting the timer off, it will arc the sensor switch and cause premature failure. Sensor Switch part # WPW10248240. Have you taken a electrical power surge while the washer is operating ? Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 5, 2012
