Ralph for Model Number MVWC500VW1 Maytag Centennial top load washer: Cold water solenoid sometimes bangs on and off when the temp selector is set on warm. Have owned the washer since 2010. Never did this before. I have Sioux Chief Mini-Resters installed. I suspect the thermistor in the water inlet is bad or the circuit board in the temperature selector switch is bad. How do I test. I have a multi meter. Or could it be something else?
Answer Ralph, With this issue the water valve chattering would not be caused by a temp switch or a thermistor issue. This would more likely be caused by a faulty water valve this causing this issue. You could test the thermistor for resistance but unfortunately we do not have the resistance reading on it. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, January 31, 2018
