Jim, it would be recommended that the wires to the valve are checked to ensure they are set properly. The brown wire with red tracer should be set on the hot water solenoid. If it is, then the failure would be in the water temperature selector WPW10202616.

Dawn, First check the wiring between the WPW10202616 / W10202616 Atc Switch, Mid-Level and the connections at the fill valve(especially the wire harness connection at the switch), If all's OK, replace the switch.

Hello Jeremy, due to energy usage restrictions, the washer has an Automatic Water temperature control that limits hot wash fill to about 105 degrees. If the temperature of the wash water in tub is lower then that then it is a faulty Atc Switch,WPW10202616.

Hello Maria, the unit is designed to cycle between cold and hot and the missing hot water might cause the unit to flag an error code if it has that availability. Hope this helps!

Ken, Based on your post information, the ATC switch is working, there's a remote possibility it may be the issue, but. First check and flush the faucets and pipes for a few minutes, check and clean or replace the screened and flat hose washers WH1X2267 and WPY013783 (2ea), then if the problem persists replace the switch.

Ralph, With this issue the water valve chattering would not be caused by a temp switch or a thermistor issue. This would more likely be caused by a faulty water valve this causing this issue. You could test the thermistor for resistance but unfortunately we do not have the resistance reading on it.

Jerry, Check the lid switch assembly WP8318084 and wiring. The lid switch has to have a closed circuit for the timer to advance and complete the circuit in the timer for the washer to drain and spin. Also check and make sure the lid hinges and bearings are in tact and the lid isn't fitting loose.

Reed for Model Number MVWC300VW1

My washer will not advance to the rinse cycle, I ordered the timer from you and replaced it but it did not fix the problem. In a chat with one of your people they said it might be the ATC switch. One other thing I noticed was the amount of water coming into the tub is very low when set to cold, which is most of my washing temperature. I have tried the three different wash cycles, Regular, Delicate and Casual, and I have tried them with and without the Extra Rinse cycle set on, but the result is the same, the machine will not fill with water for the rinse cycle, all that happens is a slight hum, also the timer will not advance. I have ordered the ATC switch, I hope this fixes the problem.

Hello Reed. Check the cold water screens and make sure they are not clogged. If not, you may need to replace the water valve.
