Ken M for Model Number MVWC400VW1 Maytag centennial washer. When the automatic temperature control is set to hot it starts out cold and then switches to hot and only dribbles out. If I shut the hot water off to the machine and then immediately open the hot supply again it comes out fine. I have replaced the inlet supply valves. could it be the Automatic Temperature control itself?
Answer Ken, Based on your post information, the ATC switch is working, there's a remote possibility it may be the issue, but. First check and flush the faucets and pipes for a few minutes, check and clean or replace the screened and flat hose washers WH1X2267 and WPY013783 (2ea), then if the problem persists replace the switch.
