Marc for Model Number WTW57ESVM0 Hi, My Kenmore washer seems to work fine until it gets to the rinse cycle. It's like you turned it off. The lid switch seems to be working. I checked it, and have resistance with the lid closed and not when open. So I restart the machine at rinse, it usually will then drain and spin properly. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Marc
Answer Hello Marc. Make sure the lid is actuating the switch when closed. These are known to fail in this manner. If it is good, check the harness for the switch. If the harness is good, then you will need to see if the timer or the motor is bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
