Margaret This is the 5th or 6th time I have had to replace the sensor switch since my washer is out of warranty. Why does this part keep going out? When the washer was under warranty we replaced it twice. Now we seem to have to replace it at least once a year. I put a surge protector on the washer after the third replacement.
Answer Hello Margaret, You can check the voltage in the outlet the unit is plugged into and it should read 115 to 125 Vac. If the voltage is too low it would cause a higher amperage which would affect the part. Other than this there is nothing you can do short of checking all connections for tightness since this part does have a high failure. Read More...
