Ken for Model Number ARS9269BS My refrigerator is not dispensing ice or water. All of the display info (e.g., date, time, remaining filter capacity, etc) light up on the front of the dispenser panel, however the dispenser panel says “Freezer Door Open” even though it’s securely closed (I even leaned against the door). The freezer door switch turns the freezer light off and on when I depress and release it. Could the door switch be bad if it’s switching the light on and off?
Answer Ken, It is possible that the door switch could be faulty and still turn the light on and off. It would be suggested to check the light switch. If it checks ok then the issue will most likely be caused by a faulty dispenser control board but the light switch would be more likely. Read More...
