All of the display info (e.g., date, time, remaining filter capacity, etc) light up on the front of the dispenser panel, however the dispenser panel says “Freezer Door Open” even though it’s securely closed (I even leaned against the door). The freezer door switch turns the freezer light off and on when I depress and release it. Could the door switch be bad if it’s switching the light on and off?

Chris August 21, 2016 for Model Number ARS2664BWZBW My refrigerator will work for a week or two and then it stops cooling.Sounds like it wants to run, but then it clicks off. We then unplug it and let it sit overnight and when we plug it back in it seems to cool again. We have replaced the defrost thermostat and the timer has been checked and is good. What will do this. We also made sure the compressor and defrost fan are running and also the condenser fan runs.

A short cycle is where the unit shuts off but then cannot restart the compressor because pressures in the system have not equalized. This will normally restart once the pressure equalize. Joanne December 20, 2015 for Model Number 10655522400 The ice will not dispense from the front of the freezer door. The light and water buttons work. I changed out the auger but that didn't make a difference. Any suggestions
1 Answer Joanne, You will want to take the dispenser cover off by using a flat blade under the lip at the bottom of the dispenser and pop the dispenser cover loose. Once you have it off then check the bracket that holds the switches and see if the switch on the left side is loose. 1 Answer Ozzie, No, a damaged or inoperative dispenser control board should no affect the ice maker. The ice maker has it's own power supply and circuits to the fill valve and should make ice, regardless of the dispenser control board. You may want to start by checking the water filter, make sure it's not clogged, then check the fill valves located on the back of the refrigerator, there are two valves, WP12544002 primary and 12002193 secondary fill valve. What happened is I took the front control panel off so I can change the water hose tip and my dog come and knocked it down and all the wires came loose. When I placed it back I must have connected it wrong and blew the board. I just don't want to purchase a new one if it doesn't come with instruction because I don't have a clue where all this wiring goes.
