Jeffery for Model Number KUDK03CTSS3 Dishwasher seems to be starting cycle correctly by filling with water (I open it at start and there is water in the bottom) but it them begins to hum loudly (abnormal) and when I open the dw, there is no water. Initially, I thought it might be the water inlet valve was not allowing enough water in so I replaced that, but the problem remains. When the sani-rinse or water heater is selected, the element gets very hot because there is no water. It just sits there and humms loudly. When I add water with sink sprayer nozzel, it then seems to be fine (circulation pump doesn't seem to be the problem). Sometimes I have to add water only once and other times I have to add water multiple times. I broke the plastic door latch trying to "see" what is happening with the door open... Obviously a novice at DYI repairs! :(
Answer Jeffery, First check and make sure the drain hose loop is high enough to keep the dishwasher from draining or syphoning the water out of the tub. If the fill valve is humming, this would indicate a lack of water pressure and flow to the new valve or a faulty new fill valve. Read More...
