George for Model Number MFI2568AES Will never buy a Maytag again, our ICE20 purchased from Home Depot has been a nightmare. Had the infamous flashing lights/ice maker possessed issue with capacitors, replaced using online instructions and Radio Shack capacitors. 2 years later, the condenser fan stops working, and Maytag replaced the HV board as a courtesy, which resolved the issue. A year later, soft ice cream first clue condenser fan not working again. Local appliance repair person trouble shoots and says it's the HV board, which I order online, replace and program - still no condenser fan. Now what?
Answer Hello George. Test for power to the condenser fan motor. If there is power there, and the unit does not run, you will need to order and replace the condenser fan motor W11613295 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
