John B for Model Number 106.55522400 (Not getting ice thru door).....Refrigerator makes ice ok. Bucket fills ok. Checked for blockage. None. Water thru door works fine. The only sound I here is the flap opening & Closing. No motor sound. Any Ideas? I purchased a new auger motor, and its on its way. But i'm being to think that may not be the problem. And once I open the bag. I wont be able to return it.
Answer Hello John, Before replacing the motor you should check to see if the dispenser bracket is broken. If you use a flat blade screwdriver and slide it into the groover under the bottom of the trim on dispsenser. You can pop the dispenser cover off and look to see if the bracket WP2180226, where the switch is, is broken. If broken then this would be the cause and not the motor. Read More...
