Answer Pcling, Yes, replacing the end cap will help, but there are other things to check as well, Make sure the auger motor and yoke are mounted to the rear housing properly and tightly. Make sure the metal housing is perpendicular to the back wall of the ice bin, and the ice bin is properly mounted into the guide rails. Make sure the freezer temperature is not below 0 dgrs, and that the cubes aren't sticking together in the bin causing excess force on the auger shaft. Read More...
