Orguy for Model Number LE5780XKNO Not certain that the last character in mod # is an oh or zero. It is a Whirlpool electric dryer and I need the female catch for the door. Your picture shows the internal part of the catch and it looks like mine but mine also has a plastic rectangular retainer that is on the outside of the door which I am not sure your part picture shows - hard for my old eyes to tell. It is that rectangular/square plastic part that has cracked and broken in several places so that the catch now falls into the inside of the door. Looks like the assembly would be pushed thru the outside of the door and the metal wings would flare and hold it fast against the plastic retainer on the outside. Hope this is understandable, struggling to find description that is understandable. By the out side of the door I am really describing the surface that would be facing into the dryer cavity, not visible when the door is closed in the operating position. thanks for a reply and part number.
Answer Orguy, the last digit would be a zero. Model should read LE5780XKN0. Your model uses door latch kit part number 279570. This comes with the strike and the catch.
