John H for Model Number GU1500xtks0 My chopper assembly is getting clogged every 3-4 weeks. The check valve seems to be in good order. We rinse our dishes thoroughly before washing. The clog material seems to be mostly lint and some hair. Do you have any suggestions about how to correct this?
Answer Hi John. Check your drain hose and make sure it was installed correctly. It should enter in the side of the cabinet at the top rear corner and then have a loop clamped to the uppermost part of the inside of the cabinet. Then it should be taught into the plumbing connection under the sink. You need to make sure the hose and/or the plumbing connections are not clogged or restricted. Your drain hose may be the reason you are back filling into your sump and re clogging over and over. Is there anyone else in the home doing washes different then yourselves? I hope this helps. The chopper assembly is part # W10083957V. Thank you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 25, 2011
