Brian for Model Number Kitchen Aid KUDI01IL I had a problem with dishes not being cleaned and could hear an unusual humming but not much water flushing around. After reading on this site and others issue appeared to be the chopper blade and when I did look into it, it was covered. I ordered a brand new blade and installed. Dishes cleaned for about 5-6 cycles but then same problem and again chopper blade was covered. I cleaned it off, re-installed it and perfect - for about 5-6 cycles again and then I have to go through same steps. Why? is it likely the shaft not turning the blade? Am I not putting the blade back in correctly? When I put it back the blade turns and I can see the end of the shaft turn as well but it would appear it does not turn when the dishwasher is running. I even marked position of blades last time and after 5-6 cycles they were in same position.
